Covid-19 is being considered as curse affected people in many ways (physically & financially) across the world. As a relief package, the Modi Government had launched Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan in May 2020.
The scheme was launched by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 24 February 2019 in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. This scheme gives financial aid to farmers and their families. Under this scheme, small and marginal farmers get Rs.6000/- every year in three installments directly to their bank account.
PM Narendra Modi had launched PM Garib Kalyan Yojana in the year 2016. Due to the COVID pandemic, the deadline for this Yojana has been extended till November 2020. Under this scheme, more than 80 crore poor people will get free food grains until November 2020.
Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan Yojana was initiated by Narendra Modi on 28th August 2014. The purpose of this scheme is to provide access to financial services like Credit, Remittance, Insurance, Pension, saving & deposit accounts, etc.
Sukanya Samriddhi Scheme
This scheme was launched by PM Narendra Modi on 22nd January 2015 in Panipat, Haryana under Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao campaign. It’s a small saving scheme which targets parents of girl children who can contribute little every month and save huge for education and marriage expenses.
PM Narendra Modi launched this scheme on 9th May 2015 in Kolkata. Under this scheme, people of unorganized sectors will get a pension ranging between Rs.1000 to Rs. 5000 every month. Upon the death of the subscriber, the spouse will be also eligible to avail of the said benefits.
Swachh Bharat Mission
Swachh Bharat Mission was launched on 2nd October 2014 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The purpose of this campaign is to increase awareness among people about cleanliness and its crucial importance.
Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY)
Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana was launched by PM Narendra Modi on 1st May 2016 to provide 50 million LPG connections to women falling below the poverty line.
